Do you feel overwhelmed by lack of sleep and food? Or do you find yourself oversleeping, waking up lazy and lethargic? Are you losing the joy and splendor of life? Instead of experiencing life in all its beautiful details, do you tend to cancel out the special moments and replace them with thinking about the lingering things in your life, which you have sought to solve over and over again but to no avail?

How far do you find yourself from the skill of delivery? Instead of handing over your fears and anxiety to a superpower and then striving according to what is available and obtainable, do you tend to scrutinize the tiny details and calculate all possible scenarios, negative ones before the positive, ignoring living the moment completely, forgetting your blessings, focusing only on the shortcomings? Are you dissatisfied and constantly stressed by comparisons between yourself and others? You constantly ask yourself, “Why do they have so much, and I have so little? Why is my luck so miserable and their luck so good?"

If you answered the previous questions with the word "yes," it means that you are a prisoner of anxiety and tension that make you lose the joy of life, and you have to work hard to control them, so this was the course of our conversation during this article.

What is Stress?

It is the natural physiological reaction resulting from the inability of one to deal with external compressive stimuli. Tension is often affirmative and stimulating to work and production. In addition to that, the hormone cortisol, which is secreted in cases of stress, has critical benefits on the body, such as activating the brain so that it works at its best, regulating the work of the heart and blood sugar.

This hormone is also associated with the oxytocin, a love hormone, so that it helps one to keep beautiful situations and intimate moments in their memory because cortisol strengthens and activates memory. Then, these two hormones create a great and exceptional mixture.

But when the hormone cortisol exceeds its usual rate in the body, it turns into a bomb or a hurricane that breaks everything in its path.

What is Stress

What are the signs of increased stress in the body?

Those who have increased tension feel a state of shortness of breath, a rush in a heartbeat, and intestinal turbidity, where we get constipation or diarrhea, in addition to headache or dizziness, and disrupt their sleep and diet, either to sleep and eat a lot or to refrain from sleep and nutrition.

On the other hand, the patient of stress forgets; they forget the place of things and the dates that they have to meet, and the state of chronic stress may lead to depression, apathy, and lack of energy. The patient of stress sends a message to the universe that they are weaker than the circumstances surrounding them and cannot deal with them at all, which attracts more negative events to their life.

Types of Stress

1. Relationship stress

In this case, the person has fear and anxiety from people, so they find that most people are not a source of confidence and safety, they are not comfortable with their presence among them, and they cannot be spontaneous in their presence, which makes them away from relationships and their enjoyment and splendor.

2. Working Stress

Here, the person feels permanent tension from work, so that they are depressed if a note is sent to their work, or grief they do not receive a promotion and reward they had expected. Or they feel permanent and exaggerated tension before the delivery date of a task assigned to them, as they cannot sleep or eat until they complete the mission.

3. Ambition Stress

Here, one lives in constant tension, thinking about how to reach their goals and ambitions instead of enjoying their passion and seeking what is available in their hands. This Man tends to kill their moment and the slavery of the result, where they find that there is no pleasure or happiness except in reaching their ultimate goals.

4. The Stress of Comparisons

Many people live in a state of passive comparisons between themselves and others. Instead of being satisfied with the current situation and seeking to develop and upgrade, they tend to enter the maze of comparisons, which leads them to tension, anxiety, and constant distemper.

5. Body Stress

Here, the person feels permanent tension in the muscles of their body, such as complaining about their neck and joints, and they may complain about the digestive system, such as symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, or they may suffer from permanent headaches, dizziness, shortness of breath or severe forgetfulness.

Here, they may resort to many doctors to alleviate their suffering without realizing that the origin of this suffering is only their negative thoughts. The subconscious mind translates ideas into physical symptoms to alleviate the stress on the human being. How often have you felt upset in the stomach while giving a presentation or difficulty breathing during an emotional trauma?

A person remains in a state of constant stress due to fear of the physical symptoms they experience, which doctors cannot find a solution to, which increases the tension and anxiety for them.

6. Speech Stress

Some people may reach a high state of tension, with which they lose the ability to speak entirely, which is a dangerous situation. The person's ability to express their feelings and abilities stops, and there is a great silence in their life, and blackness prevails over their heart.

7. Separation Stress

Here, the person remains in a high state of tension for fear of separation from the people close to them in their life, so they put the worst scenarios and begin to live and worry about them, such as thinking about the possibility of death of their father or mother, or the loss of their son, which makes them in a state of sickness and constant fear all the time.

Types of Stress

Managing Anxiety, Stress, and Exhaustion

To manage anxiety, stress, and exhaustion, you must address two aspects of your life: psychological and physical.

1. the psychological aspect

1.1. Give up desire

Give up cravings for anything, forget the result, and instead focus on the steps at hand and on the actions you can take to reach what you want, draw a mental picture of the goal you want to achieve, and then seek every day to get one step closer to this goal and enjoy each step that brings you closer to it.

1.2. Delivery

Learn the skill of acceptance, hand over all your fears to the lord Almighty, and know that everything that happens in life is happening for you, including those seemingly passive events. Your loss of that job may be one of the best things that happened in your life, which made you approach your passion without knowing it, and the decision to separate from your lover may be one of the most positive things in your life because it made you more powerful, mature and confident.

1.3. Health

Ask yourself: “What's the point of reaching your goal when you've drained every iota of your body, energy, and nerves?” So, live your days in peace and quiet, and ascend to your goals slowly, without losing your body and health.

1.4. Blessings

To feel full and free from the prison of comparisons and feelings of anxiety and fear, you have to remember the Lord's blessings on you every day, so dedicate a pamphlet to count them so that you return to it every time you feel anxious, afraid, and nervous.

Remember your ability to walk, your ability to see: Did you know that there are people who cannot smell and have used all their wealth to restore that sense? Did you know some people do not have a home to live in or a simple financial return that meets their basic needs? You are in countless blessings, so feel them, and you will find splendor in your life.

1.5. Leadership

You are responsible for your life, so do not live the role of the victim, do not deal with circumstances as the ultimate command in your life, and control all scenarios. However, be strong and know that the challenges are of the nature of life and its logical process. Do not expect your life to be rosy and without any obstacles, but be prepared for all possibilities, and know that the passive circumstance makes you stronger and wiser.

1.6. Regulation

Stress may make you forget, so be prepared for this and organize your affairs before you are exposed to stress, such as allocating a specific place for the small things you need, such as house and car keys, medicines, or passport, and identity papers.

1.7. Help

Don't be shy about asking for help when you feel overly stressed and anxious; instead, seek help from those around you, and speak up and express your feelings. Sharing helps you reduce tension, as well as it may enrich your knowledge and open the way for you to find the right solutions for you.

2.1. Stay away from coffee

Coffee increases the stress rate in humans because it contains caffeine. Increasing the dose of caffeine leads to blood pressure and heart problems, in addition to many diseases, such as osteoporosis, lack of bladder control, and diarrhea.

2.2. Stay away from sugars and starches

Avoiding sugars and starches will help reduce the amount of insulin in your blood, which will then lead to a reduction in the release of the stress hormone cortisol, which will reduce tension and stress.

2.3. Sports

Exercise to reduce the number of negative thoughts that make you weak and nervous. Walking, for example, relaxes the nerves and gives you a great mood. On the other hand, sports are one of the most effective ways to discharge negative energy.

When you go to the club, and practice those exhausting exercises, you will feel great, as if your soul has been renewed and cleaned of impurities and obstructive thoughts.

In Conclusion

What is the use of life if you live it with stress, anxiety, and fear? So, be strong, define what you want, and seek it with love and peace. Stress will not add anything to you, but it will limit your energy and potential and eliminate your balance and excellence.
