You witness us settling into our comfortable, routine lives rather than taking on the challenges necessary to accomplish our dreams, and then we quickly learn that our lives lead to someone else's dreams. From this standpoint, the article presents seven questions that one is afraid to ask, which are.

Seven questions that one is afraid to ask

1. What do I expect to achieve in 5 years based on my work and daily routine?

You are responsible for the way your life goes, and if you do not feel that you are progressing in it, you have to make the decision to change. Indolence will not bring you any achievements, and you will reach the wrong goals when you take the wrong steps. You will also drown in the same vicious cycle of behavior that produces the same outcomes over and over.

As a result, you must develop an action plan that is in line with your life's goals for the next stage. This is so because thoughts, ambitions, and perceptions by themselves cannot accomplish goals. Instead, they could harm you. This has to do with putting actual measures into action in real life.

Your subconscious mind is aware of the procrastinating behavior that you adopt for necessary and important tasks. This results in stress, anxiety, and fear, which in turn fuel additional procrastination. This vicious cycle keeps getting worse unless it is interrupted by taking concrete action.

Progress in life is measured by doing new chores, and the repetition of monotonous chores will not produce any progress.

2. Does having people around me help me progress in my life or hurt me?

Your progress in life is directly related to your social environment, and from this standpoint, it is advised to stay away from negative people in order to live a positive and fulfilling life.

This decision may not be that easy, especially when it comes to close friends or family members. However, it is something that requires processing and deciding. Fate controls the presence of people in your life, especially your family and childhood friends, but you are the one who chooses the people you spend most of your time with.

If the company of someone close to you drains your energy, you should explain to them your point of view honestly and kindly. Point out your love for them and your desire to be with them. Ask them for help. Most problems between family members and friends result from miscommunication. Your failure to disclose the problem of being drained from someone’s company will not help them realize the problem. As a result, it will lead you further from the solution.

As a result, you have to surround yourself with people who lift your spirits and help you move forward in your life, and you have to stay away from those who drain your energy.

3. How do my behaviors drain my happiness?

A person's progress in life stems from their thoughts and behaviors, which can be constructive or destructive. Your life is influenced by people and external circumstances, but choosing to be happy is solely a choice that needs to be made independently of other people and their accomplishments. That is, you have to give yourself permission to feel happy in every moment without imposing any conditions.

Complacency, on the other hand, should not make you sluggish in the pursuit of progress. Rather, you have to set goals for the next stage, work hard, interact with others, develop, and be keen to enjoy the journey of achievement instead of linking your happiness and satisfaction to the achievement of the final goal.

It is important to realize that your control is limited to your view and thoughts about the present moment. This is because details and moments repeat themselves, and your belief that your happiness is directly proportional to achievement is a completely wrong assumption. This is because not being happy with what you have now necessarily means that happiness levels remain the same, no matter how much the percentage of achievement increases.

That is, in short, it relates to your view of your life. There is everything you need to be happy or miserable, and it's up to you to appreciate and celebrate the blessings you do have or focus on the things you don't have and aspire for more and never feel enough.

4. What excuses do I tend to make?

Former US President George Washington once said, “It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one.”

Your mastery of excuses necessarily precludes your mastery of any other life skill. The only barrier between you and achieving your goal is the excuse that you attribute to it as a reason for your inability to achieve it, regardless of the obstacles that arise along the way.

A person can achieve one of their goals when they consider it a priority in their life, and here we are talking about the actual time allotted for the achievement process. This is because it is the decisive factor in prioritizing, and continuing to make excuses and wait for the right moment, opportunity, or place is just futile procrastination that prevents the person from achieving their smallest goals.

Achieving immediate goals requires taking action and exchanging time for making excuses with the actions required to get ahead in life.

5. What mistakes am I afraid of making?

As spiritual leader Mahatma Gandhi once said, “There is no good or value in a freedom that suppresses wrongdoing.”

You must stop being afraid when defining your plan and the procedures required to achieve your goals, and you must dare to make mistakes and accept their inevitability. Making mistakes may lead to disappointments and losses in the short term, but they teach a person and provide them with the necessary experiences they need in the long term. This is because they are the tools that life uses to push a person to progress in life.

One day in the future, when you look back on your life, you'll find that the majority of your concerns and anxieties from the past were absolutely unfounded; they didn't come true. You must acknowledge this reality right now, refrain from inflating your anxiety and fear, and consider the opportunities for happiness that were lost due to your illogical fear of making mistakes in the past. Even if such experiences are irrevocable, you may alter how you view potential possibilities in the future.

6. How did the rejections I was exposed to contribute to destabilizing my self-confidence?

This issue typically arises when you express your incapacity, and if you don't recognize your potential and the greatness that resides within you, you won't even bother trying to excel in any field.

Too often, we allow the rejections of our past to determine our future actions and infer our self-worth from the opinions of others and the exceptional circumstances we have been exposed to.

A refusal does not challenge our eligibility; rather, it indicates the inability of the other party to harmonize with the services that we can provide. It also gives us more time to develop our skills and ideas and delve into the details of the work that captures our passion and mastery.

So you should not allow rejection to become a permanent part of your current thinking and try to do things you think you are unable to accomplish in order to refute your claims and prove your ability to achieve them. You may not succeed in your first attempt, but you must remember that there are a large number of plans and methods that can lead you to your goal. Often, wrong choices help us reach our destinations, and in all cases, you must believe in your ability to achieve your goals.

7. When did my life go out of balance?

You should make sure to take time to have fun and explore different aspects of your life while being persistent and committed to working towards one of your goals. It is not enough to succeed in achieving a specific goal or mastering a particular specialty. You should take part in all the wonderful and joyful aspects of life at every opportunity.

You should stop working from time to time and do some activities, such as going for a long walk or spending time with friends, swimming, fishing, or meditation. You should also maybe sit quietly for a while and contemplate the blessings and good things that you have; that is, you have to find balance in your life.

As you work hard to achieve your goals and dreams without ignoring the remaining aspects of your life, you must keep your mental energy at its peak, keep your body active and vigorous, and work to strengthen your relationships so that you begin to achieve your desires and aspirations successively and naturally.

In conclusion

Life is full of unanswerable questions, and courage lies in asking enough correct questions that lead you to understand yourself and your existential message. You can spend your life in the clutches of fear by asking negative questions such as, “Why is this happening to me in particular? You can avoid discussing the obvious questions, or you can thank God for the progress you've made so far and that you're strong enough to breathe, walk, and do your errands, and then ask yourself, after reflection, "Where's my next destination?"
