1. Allow others to belittle how you feel

If you feel something, then it is real, and no one else has the power to belittle it. No one else lives in your body or sees life through your eyes, and no one else has had the same experiences as you. So, no one has the right to dictate how you feel or judge you. Your feelings are important, so don't let anyone else convince you otherwise.

2. Regret every mistake you made

If you regret some of the decisions you made in the past, stop beating yourself up. At that time, you did the best you could with the knowledge and experience you had, and you made your decisions based on a younger mind. If you made these decisions with the wisdom you have now, choose something else, so don't be hard on yourself. Time and experience help us succeed, mature, and learn to make better choices today for ourselves and those we care about.

3. Not appreciating your loved ones

There will be someone you will miss terribly one day for one reason or another, and your longing for that person will have nothing to do with how long you haven't seen them or how much time has passed since you last spoke to them. Rather, it will be when you do something and wish they were by your side. So, cherish every moment you spend with those who mean to you.

4. Allow your ego to get the best of you

We sometimes choose to be wrong, not because we are but because we value our relationships more than our pride. When two people who care about each other argue, both are wrong because they prefer superficial matters above love and reconciliation. The person who apologizes and initiates reconciliation first is the right one.

5. Get into every little argument

Being strong does not mean that you have to fight every petty argument that comes your way, nor does it mean that you have to respond to rude comments, so do not sink to their level and maintain your dignity. True strength is being smart enough to walk away from all nonsense with your head held high.

6. Surround yourself with negativity

No matter how much negativity others throw at you, there is absolutely no need to ruin your life like they do. You decide how your soul matures, and how happy you are depends on the quality of your thoughts. So, be positive because some people are in the best days of your life yet to come.

7. Rush love

A good relationship is when two people accept each other's past, support each other's present, and love each other enough to support each other's future. So, do not rush love. Find a partner who encourages you to grow, does not cling to you excessively, and lets you go out into the world with confidence that you will return. This is true love, and it is always worth the wait.

8. Hold on to someone who doesn't want to stay

It is really painful to leave someone you do not want to give up on, but what is even more painful is to hold on to them if you do not want to stay at all. If someone does not show you the same amount of love you give them and acts as if you are not important most of the time, this may be great evidence that you don't need them in your life either. The only people you need are those who respect you and want you in their lives, too.

9. Ignore constructive criticism you receive

The worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves, and a true friend tells you the truth, even if it hurts. So, do not assume every critic in your life is a hater. Not everyone hates you. Some people care about you and simply tell you the truth that you have been subconsciously denying.

10. Abandon yourself

Managing tough times is a lot like driving in a thick fog; you can't always see where you're going, you feel a little lost, and you want to step back. Every mile seems like it will take time, yet no matter how scared or exhausted you are, all you can do is breathe, focus on the path ahead, move on, and trust that the Lord will guide you to the right path.
