Many of them begin to comment negatively on how it is possible to be in this situation, which reinforces their weak defense that they do not have time to study this kind of material because life is too busy with challenging responsibilities and demanding tasks and that a person's disposition should be toward reason rather than tragedy and philosophy.

Did you feel a sense of creation and manifestation while doing a work? Do you get excited, enthusiastic, and joyful when you do something? Do the skills you invest in lead you to a more fascinating and beautiful world? When you were working, did you notice the amazing and brilliant flow? Did you wish you could go to a different job every day that reflected your truth and who you were?

How often have you ignored the feeling that says to you daily: “Take a new path, and follow your passion?” How often have you panted after logic and ideas and moved away from your feelings and heart? How many times have you rejected routine and traditionalism, criticized the legacy and stereotyped intellectual currents, but you go back to diving into the same circle every moment, without making the fateful decision that you need to rearrange your life, classify your values, search for your passion, and build your message? How often have you asked yourself when your captivity is over and when your own new beginning is?

Here comes the most critical question: Isn't your earthly experience worth a radical change in your thinking methodology and panting after the deep and sincere feelings that guide you to your message in life?

Yes, we were born with a message, a goal, and a purpose. Have you ever asked yourself: “What is your message in life, and what added value will you provide to humanity?”

Discovering your passion is the first step in your mission. To discover your passion, you need to remember the work that gives you the greatest happiness, creativity, and flow of ideas. It is the job for which you will not mind waking up every day, and which expresses you. It is the work that you do, whether customs and traditions accept it, or whether it provides value to others.

Passion often comes from an old pain that you experienced and from a painful childhood experience, as if the pain took a new form that is more conscious, and sophisticated. Passion seems like an invitation to contemplate all the details of your life again, and a spiritual journey to reach another dimension that touches and resembles you, and a great challenge to delve into your deepest feelings to internalize your sincere truth and your supreme message in this universe.

We will talk in this article about passion and the the ways to get it.

What is Passion?

Passion is your captivating sensation while doing something, so you feel a lot of enthusiasm, energy, launch, flow of ideas, freedom, and happiness. It is the moment of balance between your mind and your heart. It is the feeling that makes you rich, contented, upscale, satisfied, and creative. It is the feeling you do not eliminate and want to continue. It is your pure truth without any addition and beautification.

What is Passion

How do I psychologically prepare to discover my passion?

1. Positivity

It means adopting a mentally healthy lifestyle, that is, adopting a different view of things. It also means having a deep look, such as discovering the positive side that hides behind the apparent negative and internalizes its importance in shaping the course of your life, that is, having a holistic view of your life.

On the other hand, you seek to cleanse your emotional body of all negative emotions that control it, such as feelings of hatred, jealousy, envy, anger, fear, and negative behaviors, such as judgments, pathological attachment, fear of change, and addiction to lusts.

Negative emotions distort your vision in life. You no longer realize the purpose of your existence and cannot identify your true passion.

2. Fear-breaking

Fear is one of the most critical obstacles to discovering your passion because giving in to fear distorts your awareness, restrains you, and raises your stress and anxiety levels, which weakens your performance and productivity and distracts you from inner peace and psychological calm.

To face fear, you must anticipate the worst-case scenario, accept it, and work to improve the worst.

3. Values selection

You cannot define your passion if you do not define your value system, as passion is linked to values as if it is an actual translation of them on the ground. The purpose of the value system is to identify the most essential aspects of your life, that is, the things that have personal significance for you. For example, someone's value system may be as follows: "Health, honesty, love, respect, giving and sharing, excellence, development, enthusiasm, self-confidence, work, money, fame, influence, and control of nerves."

The question here is: Do you translate those values into reality? Or is it just ink on paper? And how often do you pursue your values throughout your day? Is every hour of your day important to you? Are you not paying attention to the passage of hours during your day?

4. Sitting with oneself

You cannot reach your passion if you are not ready to sit with yourself; it is necessary to dive into yourself honestly, move away from people, customs, and legacies, and identify only with yourself.

Recall your past, reconcile with your painful experiences, express yourself and empty what you have stored for many years, such as sitting in front of your mobile phone camera and talking loudly and very transparently about all your fears and worries.

Describe your pain, and then form a strong love relationship with yourself again. Pledge to the child inside you love attention, and tenderness. Stop running away from yourself, as it is the one which deserves all love first and then others.

How to reach your passion?

1. Skills

You should start by looking for the skills you have had during the years of your life. Ask yourself: "What did you love doing so much?" "What work brings you pleasure and a flow of ideas and easy creativity, work you can do without boredom or coldness and can turn into a physical form?" Someone may have had a skill in teaching since childhood, as they enjoyed teaching their younger siblings and tended to analyze and summarize information and then communicate it to the other in the easiest way.

Passion may be associated with pain, so you have a skill in the same thing that was hard on you. For example, someone may live in a family environment and have a troubled relationship with themselves for some reason, so they are ashamed to express themselves, do not trust themselves and their appearance, and tend to make their decisions from others and imitate them. They may be afraid to write because they used to ask for someone's help to accomplish the required expression topics during school.

Passion appears when people love themselves, sit with them more, and get used to listening to their inner voice instead of the voices of others. Suddenly, their life obstacles convert to actual skills and creativity, so they professionalize their self-expression.

Writing becomes one of the most important daily rituals to express their contents, fears, and dreams, and their relationship with their surroundings develops.

So, they convert into a conscious person and aim to share their valuable ideas with others instead of imitating them. To develop writing skills and share ideas, they become totally addicted to reading and enjoy it. Certainly, in this instance, passion was linked to their innermost thoughts and feelings, and their suffering is an inspiration for his art.

What is Passion

2. Fields

Ask yourself: “What areas are you most interested in searching and digging into?” These areas may be for someone: psychology, self-development, raising children, marital relations, entrepreneurship, and others.

3. Linking the skill with the field

Here, you have to link the skill to the field you like, such as linking your writing skill to your love of self-development, so you write articles on self-development. As if your skills in sharing your ideas with others are linked to your love of raising children, you become a trainer in the field of raising children.

4. Attributes

Ask yourself what qualities fit your chosen skills, and find and develop qualities you lack in completing your passion.

5. Differential

If you have more than one skill, and you want to choose the one that is most suitable for you, you have to put your skills to the test by testing the skills over two weeks. So, you live with the skills throughout the day and notice and record the amount of enjoyment, the ability to continue without boredom, the size of creativity and flow, and the ease of achievement for each skill separately, and then choose the skill that achieved the most of your passion throughout the experiment.

6. Identification with values

Make sure to link your passion with your value system. If there is no harmony between your passion and value system, it means it is not your true passion.

In Conclusion

Adhere to your passion and stand by it. Consider these questions: "What can I offer my passion?" "Are you willing to devote most of your time, energy, and moral principles to it?" "Are you willing to take significant risks to follow your passion?"

Make your passion precious to you, and maximize its value. It is the real reason for your happiness and psychological and spiritual satisfaction. It is the solid foundation of your mission in life.
