Note: This article is from blogger Eric Triss, who shares his personal experience overcoming challenges.
But as I grew older, my responsibilities increased. At twelve, I was carefree, but at fourteen, I felt more was expected of me. I also started to notice other guys like me doing well in school and sports, which made me feel under pressure to match their achievements.
In fact, I had to create a plan, which was challenging in and of itself. If I had known then what I know now, it would have greatly altered how I live my life.
I once questioned what I would have said to my younger self if I had the opportunity to connect with it sooner.
7 Ways To Get Past the Difficulties We Face
I discovered the following things:
1. Don't stress over trivial matters
It might seem as though unpleasant experiences would never end, but if you avoid treating bad things as though they were something permanent, you will be doing yourself a great favor. You will encounter many difficulties in life. Take each negative experience as a lesson, make the best of the problems you encounter, and wait for the good times to return because they will.
2. Invest some time in figuring out what you enjoy doing more of
Your personality will be more clearly defined the earlier you become aware of your likes and dislikes. Knowing yourself will enable you to select the appropriate career, college, and other life objectives. Without it, you risk wasting the majority of your formative years in uncertainty.
In order to better understand yourself, you should begin exploring yourself as early as possible by reading books, listening to music, keeping a journal, asking questions, learning new things, and discovering new ideas. Otherwise, your life will be meaningless.
3. Pick a skill you are good at and try to excel at it
As you learn about your personality by trying new things, you will also learn about the things you are good at and enjoy doing. You will know these things through the compliments you receive and the outcomes you will see as a result of doing them.
Choose a passion of yours and strive to be the best at it. The sooner you realize what that is, the better for you. You are more likely to change the world and lead a fulfilling life.
4. Don't be afraid to cut of toxic people from your life
You should never be afraid to cut people who you feel are not right for you, don't share your values, or are generally toxic. If you don't, you risk wasting the majority of your valuable years in the wrong relationship, which you will undoubtedly regret in the future.
5. Discover mentors to learn from
There is always someone doing something well that you would like to do as well. By using these mentors and learning from their successes and failures, you will lessen the difficulty of learning.
It applies to all aspects of your life, not just your business. You can avoid the majority of the challenges that lie ahead of you by picking an adult who lives the way you hope to live your life in the future, attempting to emulate them whenever you can, and seeking advice from the mentors.
6. Improve yourself continuously
There is always a way to improve yourself, no matter what you are dealing with or where you are, and if you do your research, you will find many people who have developed amazing skills despite their adversity and poverty.
This is not meant to minimize what you are going through; rather, it is meant to serve as a reminder to you that if you just concentrate on one small way each day to enhance your life, you will discover that the quality of your life will also rise.
7. Schedule family and fun time
Life demands that you take yourself seriously, but it also calls for you to have some fun. Therefore, try not to take everything too seriously. Once you've worked hard to achieve something, learn to let it go a little and enjoy yourself. In any case, try to choose enjoyable activities that are good for your health and that you can do with your friends and family.
Family is everything, so try your best to develop strong bonds with your loved ones so that when you've accomplished everything you've set out to do, they'll still be the people you want to be with you.
In conclusion
These are some of the things I wish I had known as a child, and you can use them, share them with your kids, and profit from them to avoid the roadblocks and difficulties that life presents.
