Note: This article is by Erin Falconer, who shares 3 steps to regaining enthusiasm and motivation and getting started.
This raises the question, "What can you do in these situations to minimize losses and complete some work despite your challenges?"
If you are unwilling to work, you cannot produce results that meet satisfactory quality standards. Therefore, forcing yourself to work and deliver low-quality results makes no sense.
First, it's important to realize that you may need more enthusiasm to complete the prearranged tasks, but you might feel differently about the remaining tasks and activities.
In other words, you lack the necessary interest or motivation to begin working on your tasks. It needs to be emphasized again that forcing yourself to complete the task will only make you fail and redo it again. In this case, the solution is to work on a different task you typically enjoy doing first thing in the morning to get your motivation and enthusiasm back.
Identifying Your Favorite Tasks
You must have a task you enjoy doing, can complete easily, requires little effort, and yields high-quality results.
When you don't have the necessary enthusiasm and can't work as productively as you should, you can begin your day by working on this task.
Beginnings are always the most difficult. Similar to how spacecraft use most of their fuel in the first few seconds following launch, human behavior follows suit. For this reason, starting on your favorite task is recommended because it will help you regain your enthusiasm and desire to work.
After working on an enjoyable task for a while, you will find it easier to move on to other tasks. It is more likely that you will return to the list of things you initially didn't desire to work on and finish them.
Working on a task you enjoy and do not feel like an imposed duty will help you trick your mind and regain your enthusiasm if you do not want to work.

Regain Enthusiasm
To restore motivation and enthusiasm and start working strongly, follow these three steps:
1. Identify Favorite Tasks That You Feel Excited to Do:
Identify tasks that do not seem like work or duty to you but that you enjoy and accomplish perfectly with ease and minimal effort. This task does not need to be essential or high priority. Instead, what matters is that it helps you make progress towards your goals.
Working aimlessly has no purpose, so you should concentrate your attention and efforts on moving closer to your goals. Simply put, you shouldn't waste time on tasks that won't advance you closer to your goals. Instead, pick a meaningful task to complete first thing in the morning.
2. Create a Specific Task and Get to Work on It in Your Favored Field
For example, if you enjoy writing, you could work on writing an article to publish in a well-known blog first thing in the morning. You just need to decide what topic you want to write about and work on it immediately.
3. Start Working on Your Basic Task List
Starting something is always the difficult part. However, you passed this step and proceeded to your basic tasks without issues.
In Conclusion
Since programming was my university major, I have always enjoyed it. Because of this, I work on the blog's development when I want to do something other than work.
This task fits my goals because it helps make the blog more effective and attractive to visitors and search engines. When your enthusiasm wanes, you should follow suit to increase your productivity and improve your work quality.
