If someone works in the contracting sector without that being their passion, they are undoubtedly driven by the reward they will receive from that work, such as salary, bonus, and other benefits.

What should you do?

When you love your job, the results will undoubtedly be rewarding, and even if they don't match your expectations in some cases, your work won't be affected.
Suppose you like acting, and your short film doesn't get the rating you expected, but it won't affect your preparation and perseverance because acting is what you love. The result you get is only a secondary benefit to you.
The process is an internal factor, and the reward is an external factor
In most cases, you should focus on things within your control because that's the right way to live an ideal life.
The reward we get from any work is an external factor, which is not in the scope of your will, such as fame, money, and celebrity. They are all results you get through your work, and you can lose them at any time, in contrast to your experience in your job and your passion and determination to do it, as they are things that can not be taken from you, regardless of the circumstances and how bad they are.
However, your knowledge and your experience in your profession will remain things you own, which will always keep your enthusiasm.
So, when you choose any profession, you must analyze it based on reward and process because this is the only way to discover your purpose in life.
