Steps to Acquire Mental Focus Skill:
Step One:
- Isolate yourself and eliminate distractions.
- Wait until the end of the day so that you are done with your commitments.
- Leave yourself in a quiet room.
- Turn off the TVs and the radio.
- Sit on a chair with the backrest in a vertical position.
Step Two:
- Choose for yourself an easy task: The task that has proven successful among hundreds of people is to say aloud for five minutes a short sentence (I am good at focusing), with focusing on the word "good", and close your eyes so as not to be visually distracted. Repeating the previous sentence again and again has a double value because it is useful in confirming the meaning, and the subconscious mind takes this confirmation as a positive fact that improves the image of the self. Also, just repeating the previous sentences is a training on the focus skill.
Step Three:
- Set the alarm clock so that its bell rings at five minutes.
- Give your mind the task of repeating (I am good at focusing), and concentrate on it for the five minutes until the alarm goes off.
Step Four:
- If you think of something else during the exercise, practice stopping thinking about it, then return to your original mission with greater focus. This step is particularly important.
- You must realize that you are able to control your thinking, so you must learn to stop thinking about what you do not want.
- Be patient and persistent.
- Don't get confused and don't forget yourself because your mind is preoccupied with other things because this act is in itself a distraction.
- Don't let different thoughts get in your head and don't give in to distractions.
- Do not impose things, but tell (no) to the odd thought, and then focus on your original mission.
Repeat this exercise every night. Most people need to master this skill from two to three weeks (the time needed to leave an old habit and acquire a new habit), and once you are able to give orders to your mind and its obedience to them despite the elements of distraction, you are ready to transfer these skills to working life situations.
Someone might say:
(I can't focus my mind on my mind) for a long time and we say to him: Imagine what it's like when you can't use your hands and legs fully? Imagine how difficult it is for you when you have no control over parts of your body? There are also many people who do not have full control or optimal use of their minds.
Training on the exercise we mentioned for weeks is the best investment to develop yourself. It is worth putting an end to the rebellion of your mind on you, and it makes you the owner of the order and the prohibition.
You should not expect immediate results, as no magic medicine gives you immediate focus. Learning any skill takes time, and also requires perseverance at levels or stages of the skill acquisition process.
