I worked in a grocery and bakery store once for a short time. It was a small and successful store whose owner lives close to it and treats customers from the same area. I liked working within the local community environment in the field of high-quality, locally produced natural food and meeting farmers and producers who pass by the store daily.

It was a wonderful place with a kitchen and a bakery that served a variety of freshly baked goods and pastries every morning, but despite this, I got tired of it after only a short while. I am thinking and creative, and it is challenging to be creative in routine, everyday work settings that prevent abstract or logical thinking. As a result, some workplaces impose mental restrictions on creativity and innovation processes. Duties and responsibilities constantly interrupt my creative chain of ideas, and I must return to work. Time passed slowly, and eventually, I got bored with the place.

Most workers suffer from this problem, and the workplace becomes an unbearable prison. In this case, the solution is to look for a fun new job that does not feel the passage of time while performing it.

State of Mental Flow

Successful people do what they enjoy, love what they do, enter a state of flow at work, and eventually lose sense. Even veterans must persevere in training and practice to refine this skill, so some take years to realize their abilities and potential. While some people reach the state of creative flow easily and automatically, many people need diligence and practice to master it like any other skill.

In my youth, I primarily paid attention to play, fun, social interaction, and entertainment; I was not interested in reading because I perceived it as a duty imposed upon me. At the time, I was alienated and prone to rebel against what was imposed upon me.

My attitude to life has changed over time, and I no longer care about external appearances. I have accepted the physical changes associated with aging hair loss and body weakness. I no longer focus on myself. My curiosity about life and the world around me has increased, and the existential role and purpose for which I am responsible.

Creative and Mental Flow

 

I witnessed a qualitative leap in my life when I focused on activities I could practice, and mental stimulation and creative thinking became very enjoyable. I no longer care about entertainment and pleasure because I practice my passion and occupy my mind with creative thinking whether I do physical activities or not.

Time passed very quickly, and the hours of the day were no longer enough for me, and I lost my sense of time. As a result, I occasionally spent extended periods writing without feeling the passage of time, hunger, or the need to eat. My time and life became meaningful and purposeful when I occupied my mind with a new hobby of learning and experiencing life.

Reaching a state of Mental Flow

6 Tips for Reaching the State of Creative and Mental Flow:

1. Think carefully

You should take some time to be alone in a comfortable place and calmly think about your life, the activities and work that captivate your interest and make you feel fun, the books you read, the websites you follow, the aspects you want to improve in your life, your goals, and the things you wish to learn, and write these details in your journal or on a single sheet of paper.

2. Try

This advice requires that you consider the ideas you have previously written down, treat them seriously, and wait for inspiration to try one shortly; that is, to read a book, start writing, learn, establish a specific project, practice playing, and so on.

3. Don't wait for inspiration

The preoccupations of life make it difficult for someone to pick up new habits even when given serious thought. For this reason, there is no need to let things go on as usual and take action yourself, which entails selecting an activity from your prepared list, getting started, motivating yourself, and doing your best to get past the initial obstacles to improve your circumstances and make the experience smoother, more enjoyable, and smoother. Once this happens, you won't want to stop.

4. Forget expectations

To utilize your abilities and potential to the fullest, you should not let your mind become clouded by the exceptional results and expectations you have for the state of mental and creative flow. To complete the process, you must pretend that your conscious mind does not exist and does not obstruct your ability to be creative.

It is content to observe and let your unconscious mind lead you to the state of mental flow. As a result, you should avoid placing undue pressure on yourself. Ambition and mental perception help and hinder you in reaching your goals because they raise your expectations.

5. Be flexible and permissive

Most of the time, when I start writing, I check my email, organize my files, look at websites, get inspired and start focusing, enter a state of mental flow, and lose track of time. You have to give yourself some time to rest and focus and do your best to train your mind to think creatively.

6. Keep practicing

You should express happiness when you achieve mental flow and engage your creative ideas. You should also consider your emotional state and your desire to practice, and the more devoted you are, the more your brain will begin to form patterns, links, and relationships across all areas of life, which will raise your spirits and help to clear your mind.

As a result, you'll be able to meet new people, learn new things, find your passion, and make practicing the most enjoyable activity ever. Eventually, you'll develop into a brilliant person who can enter a state of mental flow whenever you'd like.
