Note: This article is based on the work of writer and blogger Celestine Chua, in which she tells us about the best inspiring ways to be creative and innovative and how to eliminate routine and boredom.
We will feel bored, lack ideas, and lack inspiration, creativity, and motivation if we do not invest our inspiration properly, which is the same as how people feel when they live in a routine or go through a midlife crisis.
The true source of inspiration
Contrary to popular belief, our sense of stimulation and creativity are totally within our control. Most people think that inspiration is about being in the right place with the right people at the right moment, but it is not.
Knowing what drives your creativity and how to focus on those things so that you can employ them most effectively is all that inspiration and creativity are concerned with. As long as you keep your connection to the source or cause of your inspiration, you can always be creative and in a state of inspiration, or have the ideas flowing, as some people like to say.
For example, connecting with people is what inspires creativity and innovative thinking because I simply love meeting and connecting with people. Earlier this year, I spent a lot of time in my home office, and while I devoted only a little time to meeting and connecting with people, I soon found myself feeling exhausted, stressed, unhappy, and drained of power. This in turn led to the spread of those feelings and their negative impact on my work, which made me unproductive.

I made a great effort to have at least two to three social appointments a week after discovering that the monotony brought on by working at my home office was the reason I didn't have enough relationships and socializing in my life.
In the past week alone, I have participated in three social events, two group meetings, and seven one-on-one meetings on a personal and practical level. I have been active in communicating with people regularly and with great energy, which, in turn, has strengthened my personal and functional relationships.
People often ask me how I am always inspired to pursue my business or my writing and succeed. Here, I repeat that it is really about knowing the sources of my inspiration and their reasons, which include meeting and communicating with new people, helping others to progress and develop in their lives, and allocating time to practice self-reflection, And then taking advantage of those resources, investing them, and harnessing them for my benefit.
It is the same for high-productivity artists, singers, and performers who constantly release new works to them one by one because they are linked to their sources of inspiration and investment. Some people do it unconsciously and without realizing it, while others deliberately do things that stimulate creativity and the flow of ideas.
How to find your inspiration?
If you're feeling uninspired or bored, think about the things that inspire, encourage, and motivate you to work and create, or the things you feel you live for and that make you happy. Also, think about the last time you felt inspired and motivated, which was most likely during your time away from work, and what you were doing at that time. Then, smoothly write down the things that come to mind without overthinking them.
Then, you must find ways to do those things. If you're a mom inspired by spending time with her kids, you must do it. If you're a photographer inspired by being in nature, you have to spend time in nature and enjoy the scenery. If you're a junior CEO inspired by talented people, you can get to know the talented people in your department or company and spend more time with them.
Set aside at least an hour or two a day to do previous activities, and you can increase or reduce the time you devote to them if necessary. You should invest that time in stimulating your feelings and inspirational senses and recharging your energies at the same time. When you finish these activities, you will find that you are more productive and ready to achieve more achievements than usual, and you may have innovative and new ideas even while you are doing your inspirational activities.

This method works because the things that inspire and motivate you provide you with energy and vitality. You should not move away from practicing those things too much; you should do it as much as you can or as much as it benefits your life and gives it importance and value. This is because doing anything excessively may be counterproductive because you get bored. Thus, you will feel inspired and motivated as much as you relate to your sources of inspiration and reasons and invest them well. But you will not feel any inspiration or motivation unless you do so.
In conclusion
My inspiration today was the result of my coordinated and direct efforts to enhance the focus and flow of innovative ideas rather than sitting and waiting for them; therefore, I have no problems writing articles and getting ideas for them and for upcoming projects that I will be working on soon.
But I still feel bored and fall into a routine at times, especially when things become difficult, and I overlook my basic principles. I forget them because of extreme exhaustion and preoccupation with daily business activities, and I forget my original intention to help people; but I do not allow that routine to define my identity or control me; instead, I try to understand the reasons that led me to feel it and identify the gaps that cause it.
Then, I act to fill those gaps and break out of the routine, and as a result, I have a character and a life that are becoming more and more harmonious and cohesive. Consequently, inspiration and creativity become very innate and smooth, and boredom and routine become a thing of the past.
