I am not gifted, I do not have a high IQ, and I have not achieved success in my life except after putting in a lot of effort. So, regardless of the circumstances, obstacles, and constant challenges, keep in mind that you are only one failure away from achieving success.

Note: This article is by Zak Khan, who explains three of the most important rules for success.

As we all know, failure is crucial in a person's life due to the psychological and emotional impact that it can cause. In fact, failure and success have no meaning if you do not show interest. However, when you change your view of failure and believe that it is a lesson that you must learn, your fear of failure will fade away, and you will be able to accept it.

Sooner or later, you have to accept that failure is inevitable, but making the conscious decision to keep trying will only make you stronger and more determined. When you are determined and strong, nothing can defeat you or stop you from achieving great goals.

After facing so many obstacles and great distress, life has taught me the three indisputable rules of success. I will share these rules in hopes of helping you change your mindset, be more optimistic, and enhance your potential for growth and success.

The Three Rules of Success

1. Hard and organized work brings results

According to the cumulative effect, the more actions you take, the more results you achieve. Sometimes, the results are invisible and require a long period of time to be noticed. However, hard work on a daily basis is the most important factor in achieving any goal or dream.

It's easy to get frustrated when it looks like it's not going to work, but don't be fooled by this scenario. If you force yourself to work when you are feeling down, it will only lead to more frustration and disappointment. Instead, avoid falling into it completely.

Set a work plan for your three big goals, then distribute the important actions over days, weeks, or months until you reach success. In the end, put your plan into action, forget about the results, and focus on the process only. Growth and happiness come with the results.

After all, moving forward is necessary in our lives. So, make sure to work hard every day. It is the best investment one can make today for a better tomorrow.

2. The best attempt is the next one

Inaction means accepting defeat. When we accept a mediocre life, our performance will decline. We will never be too young or too old to strive for high standards. Regardless of modern standards, the instinct to strive for a greater goal, regardless of the harsh conditions, is something rooted in humans since ancient times.

Instead of allowing ourselves to pursue an easy life, facing difficult challenges provides greater benefits. So try to get used to facing those challenges. If you're really good at something, examine your abilities by facing a set of challenges that might disturb your confidence, as overcoming these difficulties is what will bring you greatness.

General rule

I always try to outdo myself as a writer. I always look forward to testing how fast I can write and how long it takes. Every single day, I increase the number of words I write and decrease the expected time to finish.

Do your best today and make a greater effort tomorrow. Live by this rule and observe your tremendous development.

3. The importance of avoiding self-destruction

I love math problems and puzzles, although sometimes math stresses me out. When the puzzle gets too long, it gets to a point where it's harder than expected to go back to the beginning. For example, multiply the number 13 about 15 times, and then do the inverse operations. Which is harder? It's the second for me.

What I mean is that accumulating negative actions often leads to a result that is difficult to undo. When you set a goal, plan, and take action, you are eventually progressing towards a positive outcome. However, when you interrupt this progress and take a negative action instead of the planned action, you break the action chain and redirect it towards a negative outcome. This is self-destruction.

If you've ever tried to lose weight, you should know that food cravings are real. The psychological craving for bad foods can be very stressful at first, even more so than the physical need for food. Therefore, resist your urges by sticking to the changes you've made, and the results will show.

As good results come, these cravings will subside until they disappear. However, when you give in to your cravings, it will not only undo your progress but also increase your vulnerability to these cravings. Eventually, you will binge eat, gain back the weight you lost, and more. Not only will you go back to where you started, but it will get worse.

The truth is simple

Avoid giving in to intense desires that might destroy you. If the desire is urgent, it is a perfect opportunity for you to regain your strength and resolve by overcoming it. If you give in to your desires, they will devour what is left of your resolve and grow stronger.

If you give up once, you will probably do it again until you form a habit. As you know, habits are hard to undo when it's too late.

Here is the solution: Even if you have made this mistake countless times, you have to realize that today is a new beginning. This requires that you forget the past as much as possible, so that your past failures do not affect your actions today.

In Conclusion

Today is the day, not tomorrow. Your next attempt is the best attempt, and you have the opportunity today.
