3 Questions that will Free Your Mind and Change Your Life

It's not the answers you get from others, but the questions you ask yourself that will help you become a stronger person. In fact, what determines your destiny are the simple questions you ask yourself every day.

Note: This article is taken from the writer "ANGEL CHERNOFF" in which she tells us about her experience with some questions that she asked herself and helped her liberate her mind and change her life.

I am writing this article today to help you embark on a positive journey of soul-searching. Try to keep in mind that these questions have no right or wrong answers because sometimes asking the right questions is the answer.

3 questions that will free your mind and change your life

1. If you have a friend who talks to you the way you talk to yourself sometimes, how long do you allow that person to be your friend?

Remember that the way you treat yourself sets the bar for others to treat you. You must love yourself first, or no one else will love you. So, treat yourself the way you want others to treat you, and do not blame yourself for the ugliness that is not in you. Also, praise the beauty in you, treat yourself gently, and do not be an enemy to it.

The amount of abuse you take in your relationships is often equal to the amount of abuse you cause yourself. For example, if you consider yourself an unattractive person, a failure, or an inability to accomplish anything without help, you will accept and feel more comfortable in relationships with people who reinforce these negative beliefs because that's what the careless words you say to yourself do.These words clutter your mind and reduce your love for yourself and life. So, when you spend time alone, watch how you talk to yourself, pay attention to your thoughts, and keep in mind that our thoughts are not the only ones that are harmful. Rather, the way we deal with ourselves hurts us as well, and you know that this is true. You think 60,000 thoughts a day, so don't put most of these thoughts into negative limiting thinking.

Review your self-talk now, and notice how well you chose the words you used last to talk to yourself. Did you use them positively or negatively? Do your words call for optimism or pessimism?

The bottom line is that your relationship with yourself is the closest and most important relationship you will ever have. So, let me ask you this question: When was the last time someone told you that they love you for who you are, and that how you feel and what you think is important to them? When was the last time someone told you you did an amazing job, or took you to a special place to celebrate one of your small daily accomplishments just because they know you deserve it? When was the last time that person was you?

2. If today were the last day of your life, would you want to do what you are about to do today?

Think long and hard, and when your answer is no for several days in a row, then you will know that it is time for a change.

This is an interesting conversation because we all realize deep down that life is short, and that death will happen to each of us in the end, yet we are completely surprised when it happens to someone we know. It is similar to climbing the escalator with a distracted mind and misjudging the last step. You expected there to be one step more than there is, so you find yourself unbalanced for a moment before your mind returns to reality and knows what the world really is like. So, live your life today, don't ignore death, but don't be afraid of it either, be afraid of a life you never had because you were afraid to take positive action.

Death is not the greatest loss in life, but the greatest loss is what dies inside you while you are still alive. So, be bold and brave, and be afraid to death, but take the next step in the direction of your dreams anyway.

You have to take this step because, unfortunately, there are many people who live their entire lives as society dictates to them, and they do not realize that they can change it. So, don't be one of them, and you have to live your life your own way. Each of us has a unique passion in our heart for something that makes us feel alive, and it's our duty to find it and keep it burning. You have to stop caring so much about what other people want you to be, and you have to start to live in your own way.

Find and embrace your love, talents, and passions, do not hide behind other people's decisions, do not let others tell you what you want, and try to build your life in your own style. The life you start from setting goals and moving toward achieving them is much better than the life you spend sitting and wishing you did. So, do something today and every day that moves you forward, even if you give it 10 minutes every now and then.

3. What is something you hold on to that you have to let go of?

It happens slowly and as you grow that you discover more about yourself and what you want, then you realize that some changes need to be made, that the lifestyle you used to live is no longer suitable, and the people you have known for so long no longer see things the way you see them. So, you cherish all the wonderful memories, but find yourself desperate to change and move on.

Some things simply aren't meant to last. Everything from your past doesn't belong in your present. Holding on to relationships and circumstances that have already gone by without you means staying stuck in a place and time that no longer exists. Moving on with your life doesn't mean you erase or completely forget the wonderful things of your past. It just means that you find a positive way to survive without them in your present.

In fact, we all have a story, and we all went through something that changed us in such a way that we could never go back to who we were before. In life, this kind of change is inevitable. Everything around you is impermanent,be it your body, your possessions, your relationships, etc. You don't have control over every little thing that happens to you, but you do have control over how you decide to absorb everything that happens. So, pay attention to the positive and negative changes in your life, appreciate how sometimes the unexpected turns out to be better than what you expected, and above all stop focusing on what has passed.

In conclusion:

The end of something good is always the beginning of something great. So, say to yourself: “Dear past, thank you for all the life lessons you have taught me, and I am ready now, dear present” because the priceless new beginning always occurs at the moment you think it will be the end of everything. So, don't worry about the little things, live simply, love generously, speak truthfully, work hard, and let things work out as they are meant to be.
