The Mind Matrix: Your Key to Your Dream Life
Many people are dissatisfied with their lives; you might be one of those who want more from life but are unsure of how to get it. Perhaps you had many dreams when you were younger, but you could not bring them to pass for some reason.
You’re at a dead end, yet you still dream of a more fulfilling life. Here’s the good news: It’s never too late. The life you dream of is still within reach—all you need is the motivation to change.
Dissatisfaction Is a Catalyst for Finding Solutions
Over the past decade, neuroscience has discovered, through brain scans and other research, that our minds can change reality. Brain scans reveal heightened activity when a person feels dissatisfied compared to any other emotions or thought patterns.
One way to think of it is that everyone who has made significant contributions to science, technology, medicine, and other fields has done so because they were unhappy with how things were. Neuroscience concludes that the emotion of dissatisfaction or discontent is what drives a person to take action and solve their problems.
Being dissatisfied indicates that you have a desire, and when you have a strong desire, you will go to great lengths to fulfil it and will be more driven to solve the problem.
The Mind Matrix: The Solution to Changing Your Reality
The brain cannot distinguish between real and false information, so it relies on the Mind Matrix—a duality of the conscious and subconscious mind. This duality controls functions like reasoning, thinking, feeling, perspectives, and judgement to assess the credibility of incoming information.
The Mind Matrix consists of three parts:
- The Designer Mind: This is like the architect who designs the overall picture of the dream you wish to achieve, including all its details.
- The Believer Mind: It is responsible for interpreting your beliefs and how they’ve been shaped by influential factors such as physical and psychological life experiences.
- The Achiever Mind: This part is responsible for setting the goal, devising the plan, and all the necessary actions to achieve the desired outcome.
These three parts of the mind will help you create the life you dream of.
Let’s delve into each of them in more detail:
1. The Designer Mind: Explore the Genesis of Goal Ideation
The first step towards achieving any goal is to think about it. As mentioned, the Designer Mind is like an architect, using all its capabilities to present you with the best vision or concept of the goal you wish to achieve.
This is the fun part of the process—there are no limits to your dreams. You can think of anything you wish because nothing is impossible in the realm of imagination and dreaming. Here’s how you can unleash this part of the matrix to find the best vision for your goal:
- Free your mind and focus on the thoughts that used to come to you as a child when you would daydream without any worries or stress. Close your eyes and ask yourself: What do I deeply want to achieve in my life?
- Wait quietly for the answers to come—they will emerge as feelings, emotions, or deep inner intuition. Then, jot down everything that comes to mind on a piece of paper.
- Read what you’ve written daily, and review it for 10 to 20 minutes or even longer. Write down any new ideas that come to you.
- Continue doing this for three weeks, and you’ll be amazed at what your subconscious mind will reveal to you.
This will help you start on the path to realising your dreams.
2. The Believer Mind: Turn Thoughts into Beliefs
This phase revolves around beliefs. Your task here is to drop all negative beliefs about what you dislike and replace them with positive ones focused on your blessings rather than your problems. You can do this through positive self-suggestion—a method where you repeat positive affirmations, which are ideas that you want to manifest but haven't yet achieved.
These are essentially emotionally charged sentences that are repeatedly said at regular intervals and with consistency.
Let’s say, for instance, that your financial situation is in dire straits, and you want to pay off all your debts.
- You could use positive affirmations like, "I am financially well-off and have a lot of resources."
- Think about this phrase throughout the day instead of dwelling on your problem, and allow yourself to feel positive emotions such as hope and excitement.
- Repeat your positive affirmation whenever you start criticising yourself or get overwhelmed with negative thoughts about your current life.
- Record your positive phrase using a voice recorder app on your phone and listen to it whenever negative thoughts arise or whenever you have time.
Your belief system will start to work faster the more you engage your senses in this process. You’ll soon notice how the negative thoughts fade and start genuinely believing in the affirmations you repeat. You must understand that these positive or negative self—suggestions may initially seem like empty platitudes. However, they quickly solidify into deeply held convictions that shape your life.
3. The Achiever Mind: Integrate All Elements into a Practical Plan
At this point, the Achiever's mind steps in to combine all the ideas gleaned from the Designer and Believer minds into a workable strategy. It takes your emotional desires and core beliefs to choose what aligns with your ultimate goal.
Once your Achiever's mind finds enough supportive beliefs that resonate with your objective, it begins crafting a plan to turn your dream into reality.
Your goal is now defined, and you’ve cultivated the necessary beliefs. Your Achiever mind starts the process of turning your dreams into tangible outcomes with these foundations. Here are some tips to guide you through this process:
- Write down the dream you visualised in the first stage exactly as you imagined it with the Designer mind, leaving no detail out.
- Don’t write your dream in the future tense. Write it as if it’s already your reality. If you struggle to envision it as a present reality, keep meditating until you can, then draft a short, detailed story of what you’ve seen.
- Ask yourself, "Am I ready to pursue this dream, knowing I won’t fail?"
- Write down any suggestions that come to mind—these insights will guide you if you listen to your intuition.
- Develop a plan by tackling the easiest aspects to achieve. These are the small, gradual steps that will help build your confidence over time.
- Share your plan—don't keep it to yourself. Tell someone you trust—a close friend—about your actions. Sharing your plan supports you during challenging moments and boosts your positive emotions, which will undeniably help you.
- Create a "Trivial Obstacles" list whenever you encounter one. Jot it down in this list, reminding yourself that these obstacles won’t derail your plan. Repeat to yourself, "Obstacles have no place in my plan," until you believe it.
Important Reminder
Nothing is set in stone. If your Designer mind comes up with a new idea, incorporate it into your plan and refine it until you achieve exactly what you want. Modify as needed until you feel that your plan is perfectly suited to bringing your dream to life.
