9 Beliefs You Need to Let Go of
It is impossible for anybody, not even the most ineffectual people, to continue to choose a life of misery after being fully aware that ineffectiveness is simply a choice and the direct result of unproductive beliefs and behaviors.
Things you should no longer believe in
1. Being unsure of what you want
Don't let what others expect of you dictate what you expect of yourself. Find out what you want because being clear about your true desires is very liberating. This way you will stop proving yourself to everyone, even to yourself, and when you become realistic about the real feelings you crave, you will surprise yourself with an abundance of new opportunities and possibilities.
2. Procrastination
If you don't have any plans in your life, you will stay where you are now and never move forward. So, it is time to make a move. Then, you will not be judged by what you say, rather by what you do.
Therefore, strive to be determined each day so that you may go to bed feeling content. Also, have the strength and willpower to accomplish what is essential rather than merely what seems comfortable.
3. Slacking off
Life is not always easy, and the desire to get things the easy way without the need for any work usually makes it more difficult. So, the most effective way to deal with what needs to be done is to actually get it done.
The time-proven strategy for making life really easier is to take on every challenge that you may face. Use every challenge as an opportunity to create value and make a difference, and eventually, you will get anywhere you hope to go.

4. Believing that you don’t have the strength
Face your obstacles and do something about them, then you will find that you are much stronger than them. You get the power you need for tomorrow as a result of the agony you endure today. Even when you give your best and things don't go your way, it's not a failure. Rather, it's just another chance to take better action and do it even better next time. You're stronger than you think, so don't give up.
5. Assuming that your connection with someone else would help you overcome your difficulties
The strongest relationship you will ever have is your relationship with yourself. If you are not comfortable enough with yourself or who you are when you enter into a relationship, then you are not ready for it because you are unable to love another person unless you love yourself, just the way you are not able to teach something unless you understand that thing yourself first
6. Unwillingness to forgive
You must be forgiving. You don't have to love the people you forgive nor be friends with them, and you don't have to spend time with them again. However, you need to forgive them, let go of past differences, and reconcile with them. If you don’t do that, you will be allowing your past to keep you from going forward.
7. Believing that new paths and experiences are risky
Don't be scared of the future and be ready to experience the fear to accomplish what has to be done. Remember that the repetition of the past threatens your growth. Would you rather strive to do something wonderful and learn a lesson or do nothing and never learn anything for the rest of your life?
8. Unwillingness to start over
There will come a time in your life when you realize that nothing stays the same and that from now on, time will be divided into two parts: the time before this stage and the time after this stage.
Nevertheless, there is nothing wrong with that, and there is no shame in starting over to get an opportunity to do things better or to change the values that no longer serve you and do something you have always wanted instead.
9. Believing that current misery will lead to future happiness
You may think that you will be more likely to feel happy in the future if you do without it now. However, it does not work that way. Being happy takes as much practice as unhappiness. If you choose to live with a smile, you will smile more, and if you choose to live waiting, you will always be waiting and every day you spend waiting will make your life less happy.
To be happy is to truly live, and every day you put your life on hold makes you less able to live it to the fullest.
