Take Advantage of the Seasonal Changes to Focus on Yourself
The seasons have signs and influences on our lives. They affect the weather and crops, but they also affect our mood and vitality. Most people feel happier and more active during one part of the year than at another.
Positive and negative feelings resulting from the succession of the seasons during the year may be felt by an estimated 1 in 5 people with strong emotions. They are very sensitive and affected by feelings more than others, which is the opposite of the nature of most of the population in our educated world. The empathic person purifies the world through their intuition.
The moods of empathetic people are highly correlated with the good and bad moods of others; they feel everything, sometimes to the extreme. They accept negative emotions, such as anger or anxiety, which is exhausting.
However, if those feelings are positive and express love and peace, then their bodies accept them and thrive with them because their responses are high to the feelings of others. Being around people can drain their emotional energy. They constantly need to spend some time alone to recharge, and even disappearing for a while can lighten their emotional burden.
However, empaths can't absorb all the negativity in the world and avoid burnout once they learn to focus on themselves. The initiative to follow appropriate strategies can control their sensitivity.
An important strategy involves observing their responses to seasonal changes, which they relate to the rhythms of their bodies and the land. Connecting with this interdependence refreshes us all, allowing us to regain our authentic selves. So, let these seasonal cycles and rhythms give you focus and inspiration.
Autumn
We go from summer to fall when the sun crosses the equator, as the length of night and day is almost equal (Equinox). This is the perfect time for meditation with the aim of balance, as the days get cooler and darker, and the green leaves of trees stop producing chlorophyll, which leads to paleness and rotting. Autumn is a time to reap the fruits of change and abandonment, and it is time to reap what you sowed, and reap the fruits of your labor.
As you write your diary, or during your meditation practice, try to think of the following:
- What are the benefits of my hard work?
- What are the areas of success that I would like to expand on further?
- How would I like to deepen my relationships?
- How did you become an emotional person?
Be grateful for your progress, open your arms and heart to continued abundance, consider how you can finish unfinished business, and enter the last quarter of the year with a fresh mind and optimism.

Winter
The winter solstice marks the beginning of winter. It is the darkest point of the year when the earth tilts away from the sun. As the days progress again, the gradual ascent of light begins. Winter is an exciting season because it takes you to your depths, and invites you to address your dark side, including fears and self-doubts.
Through journaling or meditation, try to think about the lessons you learned from this:
- Have you found hope during the depression?
- Were you kind to yourself when you felt anxious?
- Have you rejected an abusive relationship?
Affirm your courage in facing your dark side and the progress you've made, set your intention to practice self-care by not stressing yourself out, commit to relaxing more as the year winds down, and try to carve out some unstructured time for self-reflection and rejuvenation.

Spring
With the vernal equinox, day and night are once again equal in length, and you can adopt this cosmic balance to enhance your emotional, spiritual, and physical balance. Spring is associated with the new birth, so try to sit still, and feel the earth about to come alive. It is exhilarating to welcome the first signs of new growth in the natural world and within yourself.
Try to think in your diary, or while meditating, about the following:
- What are your old ideas that no longer serve you, and are you ready to get rid of them?
- What are the new possibilities that will appear in front of you?
- How will you receive new promises with each new day?
Open yourself to the coming of spring and the fantastic experience of the new light that emerges.

Summer
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year when the light is at its peak. You can focus during this period on emitting your inner light as well, feel your strong structure, own your strength, and feel how natural and good it looks.
As you meditate or journal, think about the meaning of strength. It could be:
- Talking about your needs
- Being your best self,
- Rejecting energy vampires
- Expressing your creativity
- Starting a project you're passionate about
- Telling your partner how much you love them.

Don't hold back, but open your heart, feel your energy, and connect with your spiritual power.
In conclusion
How to take advantage of seasonal rhythms to embrace your empathy and intuition are talents to be cherished.
