Making the food-products that we buy requires a lot of resources. Food is the fuel that we provide our bodies with. Using it to satisfy our immediate needs makes us feel that we are entitled to the quick buzz  that follows eating a piece of chocolate, or even seven, without considering its serious harmful effects.

Our fear that our bodies do not fit social beauty standards has a toxic effect on our physical and psychological health. Diet culture, which we consider a shortcut to achieving the perfect body, manipulates our fear of becoming fat or ugly and prevents us from thinking logically about the type of food we eat and how it can affect our mental and physical health.

Try to learn more about the type of food you eat, try taking cooking classes, or consult a nutritionist. It may seem difficult, but it's worth it. It will help you achieve your goal.

The food industry is like a business. Fats and sugar are flavour enhancers. Companies use them to produce delicious foods that make customers feel good. Therefore, these foods will attract interest. When they are readily available, sales will increase.

Gratification is addictive. Eating delicious food gives us a feeling similar to euphoria. This feeling only lasts while we eat and disappears once we finish eating. If we keep eating this way, we will want to eat more and will feel lethargic, guilty, and overly full.

Emotion drives most of our actions. After a long and difficult day, we look for any kind of comfort that we can get through a delicious snack. Although there is nothing wrong with eating a small bowl of ice cream after a difficult day, most people take this as an excuse to overeat. Life's pressure is the biggest reason why people seek comfort through eating. They often choose foods that promote serotonin production, like chocolate and biscuits. Serotonin is the happiness hormone. This is the common way we rely on to get quick happiness without thinking about the consequences.
